What this tool does

This tool converts text to Morse code, encoding letters, digits and common punctuation into the dots and dashes of International Morse Code. Type your message, run it, and copy the encoded result. It is useful for learning the code, preparing practice material, setting puzzles, and understanding how messages were sent by telegraph and radio. No account or download is needed.

How the encoding is laid out

Each character becomes its own dot-and-dash group, with spaces between the groups so the code stays readable. Words are separated more widely, following the usual written convention. If you receive code written in this format, the companion Morse Code to Text tool on this site decodes the same layout back into readable text.

Good to know

Only letters, digits and common punctuation are encoded. Characters outside that set, such as many symbols and accented letters, are skipped in the output, so check the result if your message contains them. The tool produces written Morse code as text; it does not play audio signals.
