Flip images horizontally, vertically, or both

This image flipper mirrors an image in the direction you choose: horizontal for a left-right mirror, vertical for a top-bottom flip, or both at once. Choose an image, pick the direction, and download the flipped copy. It is a small tool for the frequent moments when a picture is simply facing or oriented the wrong way. The whole picture is mirrored in one step.

Fix orientation and mirror-image mistakes

Flipping corrects selfies saved as mirror images, product photos shot through glass, and scans that came out upside down when a vertical flip is combined with the horizontal one. Designers also flip images deliberately, to point a subject's gaze or a diagonal toward the text it sits beside, which changes how a layout reads.

Good to know

Flipping is lossless in pixel terms: every pixel survives, only its position changes. The file is still re-encoded on export, though, so the downloaded copy's file size may differ slightly from the original even though the picture itself has lost no detail at all.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between flipping and rotating?

A flip mirrors the image, so left and right swap and text in it reads backwards; rotation turns it by an angle and keeps text readable. Use the Image Rotator when a picture is sideways rather than mirrored.

Can I flip only part of an image?

No. The flip applies to the whole image in the direction you pick, with no selections or masks. If one element needs mirroring, it has to be cut out and flipped as its own image in a fuller editor.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Files are processed in your browser and never sent to the site's server. The flip happens on your device, and the mirrored copy downloads from your browser, keeping the original private and unchanged.
