Matching options
Matching compares whole lines. By default, capitalization matters, so List and list count as two different lines. Turn on the option to ignore letter case when duplicates differ only in capitalization. The order of the surviving lines never changes: the tool keeps the first copy of each line and removes the later repeats.
Good to know
Comparison is per whole line, and small differences matter. Lines that differ only in trailing spaces count as different lines unless you trim them first. If duplicates survive the run, check for stray spaces at the ends of lines or small spelling differences between entries that look identical.
